Jordan Brand has been coming up with some novel ideas to colour-up the Air Jordan 1 but this might be one of their most unique so far.

Dubbed "First in Flight" the shoe draws inspiration from Michael Jordan's hometown of North Carolina through another iconic name; the Wright brothers. It seems that NC is adept at raising people with a penchant for flight, whether it's in Kitty Hawk—where the first powered flight took place—or Chapel Hill where Jordan's college career kicked-off.

The shoes wear the iconic UNC colours of cornflower blue over white, with accents in navy and yellow referencing colours of the North Carolina flag.
